Rooted in the classic gospel house sound, Ayce & Spirit of House are a vocal, keys and production quintet from the UK. Together they make uplifting soulful house music characterised by their catchy choruses, infectious piano-led energy and flawless production. Headed up by Ayce Oyerinde, the London-based collective deliver In My Heart, their follow up to Stronger. In My Heart is a warm, gospel-tinged soulful house cut that carries the spirit of the late ’80s and early ’90s. It’s uplifting, emotional and purpose is to make for special dance floor moments. Featuring the collective's exceptional vocal ensemble: Stephanie Sounds, Phebe Edwards, Louise LaBelle, Lawrence Rowe and Ebru Ellis, In My Heart channels the energy of a live gospel choir through a modern house lens. On remix duty is LA’s Alexa Perl who takes the original into jackin’ territory, bringing a tougher groove, plenty of swing and some serious dancefloor energy. NYC’s Corazon De Melon goes the other way with a deeper, more stripped-back interpretation inspired by classic Chicago house. The result? A tune that's purposefully built for big sound system venues like Refuge in Brooklyn. Those who love their house soulful, think Frankie Knuckles, DJ Spen, Louie Vega and Masters At Work this should be right up your street. In My Heart. Good for the dance. Good for the soul.
